Do this to the Ranger. Slight lift, big tires, lower bumper valence removed because prerunner style

No,
this
is what you do: don’t buy one. Robust and dependable vehicles to be sure, but miserable to drive.

Had an ‘84 as a farm truck for a while, was a blast bombing around because the suspension was so much softer than the full-size trucks. Never driven one on the road though.

My wife had a few different ones she drove for her job, plus one or two others, and it has always struck me that Ford assiduously avoided concerning themselves with the driver’s experience.

I mean, they aren’t supposed to be a driver’s car. I really want one to kind of prerunner-out and do some light offroading with. Some longer travel front suspension and a front lift, Silverado rear springs with a flipped rear Silvie shackle for longer travel and no lift, big tires. Hell yeah.

For a second I was like... who the fuck is Marcus? Is there an Oppo I’ve never heard of? Then I remembered and I was like, “Doh!”
At this point, I’ve been referring to y’all by your handles so much, I think I’d refer to y’all by them IRL, too.
His name is Denver Paulson.

Haha, it’s the opposite for me. I’ve been in the various chats/facebook groups/etc. for so long I refer to people by their real name :S

Like I said, they’re robust and dependable; can’t fault them for that. They’re just lousy drivers. Apart from uncomfortable, they were also poorly geared, at least the ones that I drove.
If it’s what you like, who am I to complain? Just offering my $0.02.
